LaTocha Scott was out and about in New York City on Wednesday. While on the streets, she confirms the matchup between Xscape and SWV that’s been rumored.
“Everybody’s been asking about it. We were ready,” she says. “We’re never [backing] down from a battle. It’s great for the culture”

According to Scott, the date is set! It’s all going down on May 8. However, the Verzuz co-founder has yet to officially announce the match.
Timbaland and Swizz Beatz have tried their best to keep the battle under wraps; they even blurred out Xscape and SWV’s names on their event calendar. Most recently, Verzuz announced an upcoming showdown between The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind & Fire set for April 4. After that, Redman and Method Man will take the virtual ring on April 20.
