LeBron James to Produce Docu-Series, ‘Shut Up and Dribble’ for Showtime

Showtime has requested a three-part docu-series based on the changing roles of athletes in the current political condition, with LeBron James as a producer.

Showtime president and CEO, David Nevins, made the announcement at the TCA Summer tour on Monday.

The series is titled Shut Up and Dribble, inspired by conservative pundit, Laura Ingraham’s comments to James in February when players from the Golden State Warriors declined an invitation to the White House after the 2018 NBA Finals. The debate fills in as an introduction to the series as it follows the history of the NBA and its players, beginning with the 1976 merger of the freewheeling ABA and the more traditional NBA of today.

The group before long turned into an incubator for top teams to develop their brands past the court, winding up ground-breaking players in business and mold, and rising above the diversion to end up social symbols. It will debut on Showtime in October.

Shut Up and Dribble is an introduction of Showtime Sports Documentary Films and James’ SpringHill Entertainment. James will executive produce alongside Springhill’s, Maverick Carter, and Rich Paul, Martin Desmond Roe, Chris Uetwiller, Datari Turner, and Gotham Chopra, who will also direct.
