Lil Wayne Stars as ‘The Robot’ on ‘The Masked Singer’ Season Premiere

Lil Wayne kicked off the third season on The Masked Singer as The Robot and it was probably the easiest guess on the show.

The veteran rapper’s voice is so iconic that it wasn’t hard to tell who it was the minute he started singing. It was an easy guess for Hip Hop fans to say the least.

The judges guessed that it was Shaun White or Johnny Knoxville.

Weezy performed Lenny Kravtiz’s “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” then surprised the judges after removing his mask and revealing his identity. He admitted that his children inspired his costume choice. “So when my kids watch the show with me I know they’re gonna like the robot costume.”

Tunechi also took a matter-of-fact moment to confirm that he is one of the bestselling artists of all time like the judges asserted. “More than Elvis,” the legend quipped.

Lil Wayne’s 13th studio album Funeral was released last week. This collection follows Tha Carter V, which was finally delivered after countless delays as a result of legal issues with Cash Money.

But Weezy seems to be in better spirits these days. Check out the three-minute interview he did as The Robot below:
