Man Beats Dog With Baseball Bat For Eating His Whopper

DARTMOUTH, Mass. — Prosecutors say a Massachusetts man pounded his dog in the head with a baseball bat because he was furious that the animal ate his Burger King Whopper sandwich.

Gregory Ostiguy was held on $5,000 bail after pleading not guilty this Monday to animal cruelty. I will never understand why judges do not take animal cruelty cases seriously. Do you really think $5000 will stop this man from ever doing such a horrible thing again?

Officers responded to a Dartmouth street around 7 p.m. Witnesses reported seeing a man beat and scream at a dog in his car. As if this dog could possibly understand what it did wrong. If this man cared that much about his food, he should have just ate it and not left it in a small area with has a dog in it.

The 50-year-old Ostiguy, of New Bedford, told officers he was angry because he had worked hard all day and then his dog ate his Whopper.

Police took the dog to a local animal hospital and it was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
