Meek Mill is Being Sued for Alleged Copyright Infringement on 2018 ‘CHAMPIONSHIPS’ Album

Meek Mill is at the highest point of his career but can’t stay clear from petty drama. Ironically after his little back and forth with DJ Akademiks, he’s being targeted in a copyright infringement lawsuit according to BOSSIP.

A Philadelphia record company called Dream Rich Entertainment is accusing the Philly emcee and his record label Dream Chaser and parent company Atlantic Records of jacking the lyrics for the 2018 CHAMPIONSHIPS cuts, “100 Summers” and “Cold Hearted II.”

Dream Rich claims they acquired the lyrics and song’s copyrights after their contracted songwriter penned the records in 2018. The company claims Meek had access to the lyrics and copied them.

Dream Rich claims they tried to resolve the issue internally with Meek but they had to settle for their last resort which was firing the lawsuit. They want the Dream Chasers head honcho to pay $75,000 for each infringement, which totals to about $300,000.

Meek Mill hasn’t publicly commented on the lawsuit, but fans found the claims ironic since he attempted to cancel Drake over ghostwriting allegations years ago.
