Meek Mill Talks Never Believing in the ‘American System’ and Dropping Out of School

Meek Mill took the time to share his educational experience on social media. He revealed that he eventually had to drop out of high school in the 10th grade. Meek claimed that the American education system didn’t sit well in his spirit growing up as an African American being poor.

The “Dreams and Nightmares” artist tweeted “I never believed in the AMERICAN system … I dropped out of school in the 10th grade and made millions at 22! … I took the risk of chasing my own dreams not the American dream!”

Meek then followed up that statement stating “Not saying you shouldn’t … because if anything that was slowing me down it was lack of education! When I got caught in the system I Knew I was behind and had to educate myself!”

Meek has been putting his Twitter fingers to use to vocalize his own encounters on dealing with the law. Just last year in Aug 2019 his 12-year misdemeanor gun charge was dismissed, when he took to twitter that he was relieved and talked about a “much-needed discussion about probation reform and inequalities that exist within our two Americas.”

This is why it is important to stay in school. We can’t change laws from the outside if you want to change having an education is your ticket to doing so. Having an education is makes anything in this world achievable, to be who you want to be, and even more.
