Is Michael Rainey Jr. dating Buju Banton’s daughter, Abihail Myrie?

Abihail stunned social media early last year when she took the Vogue challenge by storm. The challenge was started to highlight Black creatives after the coveted fashion magazine was called out for lack of diversity.

The 21-year-old was featured on the official websites of Vogue US, Vogue Japan, Vogue Australia, Teen Vogue, and The Cut, among others. A proud Buju Banton reposted his beautiful creation with the caption, “Abi my wailers, U go girl. Love u baby.”

Abihail is a gorgeous young lady and it wouldn’t be a shocker if her DMs are popping. But we have reasons to believe that Michael Rainey Jr, who spent most of the quarantine in Jamaica, is trying to get to know her better.

Rainey is at the peak of his career now that he’s pivoted to his lead role in Power Book II: Ghost, and it looks like things between him and Eva Apio are over.

The two have quietly split but it looks like Rainey has a thing for dark skin models.

The actor sent Abihail well wishes on her 21st birthday on his alternate Instagram account, Where is 22.

But the real tea is in Abihail’s comments. Rainey gushes in their comments about her beautiful appearance and the time they’ve recently spent together. She’s more modest in his comments. But there’s clearly something going on with these two young beautiful people.

Michael Rainey’s mother, Shauna Smalls, clearly approves as well as she’s seen in some of the comments below gushing over what her son hopes to be her future daughter-in-law.
