We all know that DJ Akademiks is the one who typically spills the tea about the music industry. He has deep roots in the rap and hip-hop game. Sometimes he’s wrong. However, sometimes he’s right! Like when he recently was the first one who shared that Drake was dropping new music; which was one week prior. Sure enough Scary Hours 2 was out.
In addition, the radio host recently dropped some info on NBA Youngboy during a recent stream.
According to DJ Akademiks, the rapper was supposed to attend a studio session with J. Cole. However, Youngboy allegedly ends up leaving him waiting for eight hours before failing to show up.
“J. Cole waited in the studio for eight hours for Youngboy to show up,” said DJ Akademiks. “Youngboy didn’t show up. Facts. These are facts! Your favorite rapper, n***a. J. Cole? He sat in the studio for eight hours for a session with Youngboy. Youngboy never showed up.”
Furthermore, Akademiks clarified that YB was not feeling well that day, adding, “Let me be fair to Youngboy…. It wasn’t about J. Cole. It was just that he, and personally what he was going through, wasn’t fit to be in that environment.”
