Netflix Announces New Project Chronicling Chadwick Boseman’s Life

Netflix is giving the late actor Chadwick Boseman a documentary. 

The trailer was recently released on April 13. And fans are now feeling nostalgic and reminiscing the love they have for the actor. 

The title of the documentary is “Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist.”And the documentary focuses on a personal, intimate look at Boseman’s life. With interviews featuring actors likeViola Davis, Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, Phylicia Rashad; we are receiving an in-depth look at Boseman’s artist-like performances in films and shows he was in. With this documentary, we can expect to have a peak of the brilliance and legacy Boseman left behind as a great actor. An artist that began to inspire many, creating fans all over the world. 

A strong-willed man, Boseman died on August 28, 2020. His death shocked not just the nation but the entire world. The actor battled colon cancer, a disease he never disclosed to anyone in the public. He fought valiantly through various of his now ever so famous films like, “Black Panther,” “21 Bridges,” and “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”

Boseman is now a frontrunner to win the Oscar for Best Actor due to his role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” Following his various wins from the Screen Actor Guild Award and even a Golden Globe. You can read more about that here.

For now fans are now discussing what will happen to next Black Panther II. Boseman’s role was iconic for the black community and people wonder if the role should be re-casted. While nothing is known for sure there are various arguments that are for or against. Nevertheless, Boseman’s portrayal of the Marvel hero has made history.

The “Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist” documentary will be available globally on Netflix on April 17. It will only be available for a 30-day window. And fans will surely be tuning in.
