Ohio Passenger Calls in Fake Bomb Threat So he Wouldn’t Miss his Flight

An Ohio man who called in a bomb risk to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport so he wouldn’t miss his flight was sentenced Thursday to four months in jail and requested to pay a fine.

Dana Carter of Dayton made a series of calls to the air terminal asserting there was a bomb on a Dallas, Texas-bound United Airlines trip in October.

The 40-year-old allegedly made the false reports since he was stressed he would miss his flight.

The first flight wound up being dropped as a result of the risk and Carter was set on another trip for Dallas under two hours after the fact, the Dayton Daily News detailed.

Carter’s lawyer admitted the false danger was a “foolish act,” as per the Daily News.

Notwithstanding correctional facility time, Carter has been requested to pay $7,700 in compensation to United Airlines for the dropped flight.

After his discharge, Carter will be on government probation for a long time.
