Saweetie partners with gaming company Xbox Saweetie to host the first-ever “Saweetie Bowl.”
The Bay Area rapper hosted the event while featuring the legendary Snoop Dogg and New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman. It also featured professional gamer and Madden Bowl 2020 champion, XSET JOKE, as Snoop and Edelman faced off in a game of Madden NFL 21.
Held in Snoop’s gaming compound in Inglewood, the winner would walk away with bragging rights, as well as a custom, diamond-encrusted Saweetie Bowl chain. Additionally, Saweetie shares how Football is a big thing in her family.
“We are kicking off this year’s big game the ICY way with an exciting Madden gaming competition together with Xbox and a few of my friends,” Saweetie said. “Football is big in my family and this year’s festivities brings all of us together in support of a good cause.”
The Saweetie Bowl marked the debut of Saweetie’s new partnership with Xbox. After the event ended, the charitable game managed to raise $10,000 in donations. As for the donations, they ended up going to the Snoop Youth Football League.
The “ICY GRL” rapper has busy as of late.
Along with dropping new music, she announces her acting debut on Grown-ish. Saweetie was a cameo of a bossy rapper named Indigo. Indigo, portrayed dissatisfaction with the wardrobe picked out for her. Demanding Yara Shahidi’s character (Zoey Johnson), she tells her to fix the situation before things get ugly.
Nonetheless, that’s not all for the female rapper. She’s also building her social media empire with hilarious skits and recreations. She adds on to her dropping her latest single “Best Friend,” featuring Doja Cat.
