Soulja Boy claims Kanye West removed his verse from the song “Remote Control.”
After a series of stadium-filling listening parties, the highly-anticipated album DONDA was finally released on August 29th featuring artists like JAY-Z, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, etc.
The rapper’s album is named after his late mother Donda West, who passed away in 2007 from complications following cosmetic surgery. In a 2020 interview with GQ, Ye says he’s no longer interested in making secular music and would rather stick to gospel sounds. His last album Jesus Is King was more religious in theme but ‘Donda’ includes a variety of genres including trap and gospel.
When the album was released Soulja claims he got left out after Ye reached out to him to ask him about being on the album and a Gap campaign.
Draco posted screenshots of their conversation on Twitter he says“ This N**** Kanye smh. Tell Homie don’t hit my phone no more. Soulja can also be seen sending Yeezy some audio files for the song “Remote Control.”
Before the album release, Ye took to Instagram in a now-deleted post to explain why DaBaby’s verse didn’t make it on the song “ Jail” Ye blames the Charlotte rapper’s manager Arnold Taylor for not clearing the song, but Arnold says that’s all a lie. The situation was sorted and DaBaby’s version called “Jail Pt.2” is now available.
The ‘Invasion of Privacy’ rapper dropped the bomb during an Instagram livestream on Sunday night.
