Summer Walker collaborated with JT for a new single called “Ex for a Reason.”
The lead single is set to be featured on her highly-anticipated sophomore album. The song was produced by The Buddah Bless and Sean Garrett, the song finds Walker and JT going through their partners’ phones and warning them not to cheat.
Summer sings, “I hope y’all learn from my mistakes.” However, fans were disappointed with the new single and quickly went on social media to express their feelings.

Summer went on to address the criticism by stating that she never wanted “Ex For A Reason” to be the single for the new album“Stop @-ing me,” she wrote on her Instagram story .” The first song I wanted to release was called Toxic but we here now. I had no say in making this decision. So let’s just move past it now. We’re here now, so leave me alone.”
Summer is preparing to release her sophomore album titled Still Over It, in November , which is the direct sequel to Summer Walker’s debut album” Over It ” that dropped back in October, 2019. Her debut project garnered the biggest streaming week for an R&B album by a female artist in over three years — since Beyonce’s Lemonade LP. “Still Over It” is expected to include artist features such as Ciara, SZA, Lil Durk, and Ari Lennox, as well as posted photos of her in the studio with Omarion and Pharrell.
