Tekashi 6ix9ine and his ex-manager have apparently been arrested on racketeering charges.
The news came through early Monday morning from TMZ, which means that the Brooklyn rapper is “almost certainly” going to prison.
6ix9ine, former manager, Shottie, Faheem Walter (a.k.a. Crippy), and one other suspect were allegedly taken in by ATF specialists in New York City Sunday night. Per a different Pitchfork report, the fourth suspect is Jensel Butler. They’re all facing gun and racketeering charges following a collaborative investigation from the ATF with help from the Department of Homeland Security and the New York City Police Department.
Shottie was already in the news in the wake of handing himself over to police regarding last month’s shooting involving one of 6ix9ine’s bodyguards.
In an interview with the Breakfast Club last week, 6ix9ine, who recently took a plea agreement for use of a child in a sexual performance charge, explained why he gave his entire team the boot. “There’s so much money out there to be stolen, you know what I’m saying?” he said at the time.
Amid the interview, MTA Booking, the agency named in Tekashi 6ix9ine Breakfast Club interview, disputed his claims that they cheated him out of a $3 million dollar deal, and are reportedly considering taking legal action against the “GUMMO” rapper.
