Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian are going strong and they are bonded for life after sharing an intimate moment.
The Blink-182 drummer has not boarded an aircraft since the deadly plane crash in 2008 that took the lives of 4 people, including 2 pilots, and his two friends. He traveled by bus or boat if needed because he suffers from PTSD.
Last weekend he conquered one of his biggest fears by flying with his girlfriend Kourtney. The two were photographed boarding Kylie Jenner’s private plane to Cabo for a summer vacation.
Travis credits Kourtney for helping him take this big step in his life, In a recent Instagram post he says “With you anything is possible,” Many fans have speculated that Kourtney may have pushed him but a source told People Magazine that’s not the case.
Barker shared some photos of their horse ride at the beach and other moments from their baecation.
“Kourtney has been very supportive,” the source added. “She never pushed for him to fly. They have managed to travel in the U.S. without having to fly, and Kourtney has been totally fine with it.”
Travis Barker teased the idea of flying again on social media back in June. “I might fly again,” he tweeted with an airplane emoji.
The musician also spoke to Men’s Health about the longtime recovery that led him to get clean. His tolerance for opioids were so high that he’d sometimes wake up during surgery.
“People are always like, ‘Did you go to rehab?’” Barker said. “And I [say], ‘No, I was in a plane crash.’ That was my rehab. Lose three of your friends and almost die? That was my wake-up call. If I wasn’t in a crash, I would have probably never quit.”
“There’s a million things that could happen to me,” he added. “I could die riding my skateboard. I could get in a car accident. I could get shot. Anything could happen. I could have a brain aneurysm and die. So why should I still be afraid of airplanes?”
