Trump Grants Clemency To Kodak Black and Lil Wayne

It’s official. Donald Trump granted clemency to both  Kodak Black and Lil Wayne on the last day of his Presidency.

There were reports that Trump was prepared to commute over 100 people including high-profile celebrities and rappers.

Last month Weezy pled guilty to illegal possession of a loaded firearm while traveling on a private jet to Miami last year. But thanks to his good friend Trump, the rapper will be skipping jail time.

During Trump’s 2020 Presidential run, Tunechi received backlash for endorsing him. “Besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,” he said in his caption.

Lil Yachty recently urged Trump to commute Kodak’s sentence, noting that he’s being harshly punished for a technicality.

“Hey @realDonaldTrump my friend @KodakBlack1k deserves to be commuted. The system punished him way to hard for a paperwork crime #freekodak,” the “Flex Up” rapper tweeted.

Kodak was sentenced to more than three years for pleading guilty to falsifying federal documents to buy four firearms. But it looks like 2021 is looking up for both rappers.
