Walmart Removes Firearms From Sales Floor in Response to Nationwide Looters

Walmart is controversial because they sell firearms to the public, however, the mega-chain has a lot of supporters.

As the debate continues and rioters across the country loot the streets when night falls, the superstore decided to pull the guns from the sales floor. “As a responsible seller of hunting and sporting firearms, we have temporarily removed firearms and ammunition from the sales floor in some stores out of an abundance of caution,” a Walmart spokesperson said. “Those items are available for purchase, but are being stored in a secure room.”

The store has maintained its stance of selling firearms and has never removed them from the sales floor up until the Black Lives Matter movement hit a new height following the death of George Floyd.

There has even been instances of gun violence at Walmart locations! There were two mass shootings in Texas and in Mississippi that left dozens dead.

Do you think this is another tactic to suppress the progression of black equality?
