XXXTentacion’s ‘?’ Album Goes Platinum Posthumously

About two months after his murder, XXXTentacion’s, ? album has achieved platinum status.

It was released March 16, two months after his passing, ? appeared at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart acquiring 131,000 collection equal units. The project went certified gold on June 26—eight days after X’s murder—and formally earned its platinum accreditation on Aug. 7.

? turns into X’s first platinum-offering collection and his fourth posthumous platinum plaque. X’s “Jocelyn Flores” and “F–k Love” were certified platinum on June 26 and July 19, separately, while “Moonlight” earned platinum affirmation on Aug. 7.

We can also expect new music from the slain rapper in the near future. Prior to his fatal shooting, X inked a $10 million deal Empire Distribution. A statement in the agreement keeps the music from being discharged until October, yet Empire CEO Ghazi Shami said the rhymer left behind “a significant amount of material.”

The 20-year-old rapper was shot and killed on June 18 in Deerfield Beach, Fla. in the wake of leaving a RIVA Motorsports store. Four men have been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Travyon Newsome, Robert Allen, Michael Boatwright and Dedrick Williams have all been accused of first-degree kill. Newsome, the most recent suspect to be arrested, has additionally been accused of burglary with a dangerous weapon.
