Deadline reports that OBB Pictures has greenlit a documentary about Jeezy and his rise to fame. OBB Pictures will work on the project in conjunction with YJ Productions, in their third documentary ever.
OBB Pictures launched a new music division that is overseen by Scott Ratner. Two different projects have been reported simultaneously: My Outbreak Moment, a series documenting The Outbreak Tour which introduced many artists to their first taste of Nationwide presentation, including Kendrick Lamar, The Chainsmokers, 21 Savage, and Logic. The second project will be a parody of VH1’s Behind the Music program called Liner Notes.
The Jeezy undertaking might not have a title but rather Mandon Lovett has a reservation on the directorial seat. Lovett is known as the man behind WorldStar’s The Field: Violence, Hip-Hop, and Hope in Chicago.
This Hip-Hop documentary will probably be one of the good ones considering Jeezy’s two years with Boyz n da Hood under Bad Boy, the beef with Gucci Mane, and the evolution of his art.
