Ariana Grande Shamed for Minidress at Aretha Franklin’s Funeral

Words by Fazhane Adams

Ariana Grande attended Aretha Franklin’s home going with her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, wearing a sleeveless black minidress with a mesh panel covering her chest. The dress was paired with black and silver stilettos and a diamond choker. She performed the Queen of Soul’s song “Natural Woman,” which she also performed on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. While many praised Grande’s vocal ability, others were distracted by her outfit.

Following her performance, Bishop Charles Ellis made and awkward remark, “When I saw Ariana Grande on the program, I thought that was a new something at Taco Bell,” he quipped, as the audience cracked up. Grande seemed embarrassed but laughed off the awkward remark.

Many viewers took to social media to bash the four time Grammy Award- nominated artist. The internet went into a frenzy about what they deemed to be inappropriate church attire.
