Beyoncé is Now the Most Grammy Decorated Artist

On Sunday night, Beyoncé made history at the Grammys by becoming the artist with the most Grammy wins in history.

Beyoncé was nominated for nine Grammys this year including Record of The Year, Song of The Year, Best R&B Performance, Best Song Written For Visual Media, and lastly Album of The Year. She took home awards for Best Dance Recording, Best Dance Album, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, and Best R&B Song.

The Crypro.com Arena was full of A-list celebrities and the most important names in the music industry. But when host Trevor Noah revealed that Beyoncé was in the house, everyone’s favorite artists suddenly adjusted their seats and turned their heads to look at Queen Bey, starstruck.

Beyoncé arrived at the Grammys late so she wasn’t able to accept her award for Best R&B song for “Cuff It,” but when James Corden announced her historic win, she gracefully stood up from her seat making her presence known, and walked to the stage with her head held high.

“I’m trying not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night. I want to thank God for protecting me,” she started with tears in her eyes, I’d like to thank my Uncle Johnny, who’s not here, but he’s here in spirit… I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing this genre.”

Everyone in attendance cheered her on and gave her her flowers as she walked off the stage with her victorious award, including her husband, Jay-Z who has the most Grammy wins as a rapper.
