Colin Kaepernick’s Collusion Case Against NFL Owners is Eligible for Trial

Colin Kaepernick’s collusion case against NFL team owners can go to trial after the league’s request to have the case dismissed was denied.

The ex-San Francisco 49ers quarterback insists owners are conspiring to keep him out of the NFL due to his peaceful kneeling protests during the National Anthem against police brutality in America.

The 30-year-old has been out of work since opting out of his contract with the 49ers in March 2017.

Kaepernick’s legal advisor Mark Geragos has posted an announcement from system arbitrator Stephen B Burbank denying the league’s request to dismiss the case. The decision implies there is adequate proof to enable the case to go to trial.

Colin Kaepernick first protested by sitting down during the National Anthem in August 2016, before deciding to kneel. Several players began to follow suit and President Donald Trump was big mad.

In early August, a few NFL players who kneeled during the National Anthem before pre-season games were scrutinized by Trump.

However, the entire protest is against the constant unnecessary killing of unarmed Black men. That has yet to stop, therefore, the protests continue. Players have been threatened with fines if they continue to protest.

The NFL says plans to fine players for kneeling have been put on hold, while it is talked with the NFL Players Association.
