DaBaby finally responds to the backlash he’s received for his lyric about JoJo Siwa.
DaBaby continues to be unbothered after his breakup. Even though he has been receiving backlash for his recent freestyle lyric, he continues to be carefree.
On Sunday (Feb. 21), the Grammy-nominated rapper addressed the uproar that was sparked after many fans believed he was dissing 17-year-old Siwa in his “Beat Box Freestyle.” Additionally, DaBaby offers a joke about the line; possibly confirming his use of her name as a play on words on the song.
“😂😂😂😂 I love Twitter bruh,” he posted. “I ‘Siwa’ I’m not like the rest of you niggas .😂😂😂😂.”
Continuing on, DaBaby jokingly uses the name as a homophone while responding to a fan who echoed his view. “Bae I don’t ‘Siwa’ they so mad at you,” the fan posts. which got a response of “Bae I don’t ‘Siwa’ they so mad at you,” from the rapper.
After name-dropping JoJo Siwa last Friday (Feb. 19), people were confused and some were outraged.
“Got a big .45 on decock (Go)/Usin’ big words like I’m T.I. (Turn up)/Don’t wanna get me started, nigga/Turn me up, niggas gon’ see why/Nigga, you a bitch, JoJo Siwa (Bitch),” DaBaby raps.
While some saw it as a play on words, many others were confused; leading people to assume the 29-year-old rapper was beefing with the teen star. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case. DaBaby’s comedic response to the backlash appears to show he isn’t too concerned about the whole situation. But, what do you guys think about the lyrics? Let us know in the comments.
As of right now, JoJo Siwa has yet to respond. Stay tuned for more updates.
