‘OITNB’ Star, Dascha Polanco, Criticizes Trump Over Death Tolls in Puerto Rico

Words by Andre Kettle

Netflix’s original series, Orange is the New Black star, Dascha Polanco, was at LAX airport on Friday when she was approached by TMZ and was asked about the deaths in Puerto Rico resulting from Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma. She called out the President denying thousands died in the storms, stating it he was debating the hard-core facts from multiple studies.

In the video provided above, Polanco says that is not the point and he is not even looking at the big picture – the big picture is the situation in Puerto Rico and shows that we need to come together in humanity to help others in need. Additionally, she said it’s simply common sense.

President Trump is blaming the Democrats for the high death toll, claiming they’re using it as a “political weapon” against him.  But in the video Dascha Polanco is neither denying that it’s possible nor think that was a bad idea.
