Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Killer, Eric Holder, Wants Trial Transcript Sealed

It’s a lot going on, but the marathon still continues for Nipsey Hussle.

The trial was unsealed on May 21st and transcripts from the trial against his alleged killer, Eric Holder, will be made public unless valid evidence is presented in objection.

The 29-year-old is fighting for the files to remain sealed in fear that public opinion will jeopardize his case. His attorney, Lowynn Young, says this will compromise his chance for a fair trial.

“Here, the modest pretrial publicity in this case does not even remotely compare with the publicity in the Martha Stewart trial, the Manson Family trial, the John DeLorean trial, the Watergate trials, or the Abscam trials. Yet, in all of those cases, courts rejected the defendants’ arguments that pretrial publicity had interfered with their right to a fair trial. This Court should do the same,” Young said.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry thinks otherwise, “We live in a society that is moving away from the printed page.”

The LAPD has been tight-lipped about the case. When asked what caused Holder to open fire on the beloved rapper, LA Police Chief Michael Moore only said, it was “…a personal matter between the two of them.”

Deputy District attorney John McKinney said that Eric was offended after Nipsey Hussle called him a snitch. “Apparently, the conversation had something to do with [Hussle] telling Mr. Holder that word on the street was that Mr. Holder was snitching. The conversation wasn’t particularly intense. It wasn’t particularly belligerent.”

Eric Holder’s bail is $6.5 million and he pleads not guilty to the charges of one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and assault with a firearm.
