Idris Elba is the latest celebrity who has been tested positive for the Coronavirus.
The actor posted a video on Twitter alongside his wife, Sabrina Dhowre-Elba, announcing that he doesn’t have any symptoms but he tested positive for the virus. He said his wife hasn’t been tested but “she’s doing okay.”
“This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic.”
He was prompted to do a screening because he discovered that he was exposed to someone who tested positive for the virus.
Idris Elba took the time out to advocate for social distancing because just like him, there are people who aren’t showing any visible symptoms. He also called for solidarity and peace during this pandemic.
