If you’ve been enjoying Insecure so far, then you’ll be delighted to hear this news: HBO renews Issa Rae’s hit series for a fifth season.
The announcement was made on Friday afternoon, ahead of the premiere of the fourth episode of the fourth season. Rae, who is also the co-creator of the show, leads the cast with Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis, Natasha Rothwell, Amanda Seales and Alexander Hodge.
“We’re thrilled that Issa, Prentice, and the whole Insecure team will be getting back together for a fifth season,” said Amy Gravitt, executive vice president of HBO Programming. “As we laugh and cringe with recognition, their stories make us all feel a little less alone in the world.”
