If it wasn’t sad enough that Kobe Bryant died Sunday morning, it’s with regret to inform you that his oldest daughter, Gianni Bryant, 13, was one of the passengers on board.
TMZ reports that they were on the way to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice when the crash happened.
Bryant’s private helicopter went down into flames shortly before 10:00 am in Calabasas. Emergency personnel responded but they couldn’t make their way through the bushfire that was ignited by the crash, according to LA Times.
TMZ said that eyewitnesses told them that the heard the helicopter’s engine sputtering before it crashed.
There appeared to be five people on board and now we know that Gigi Bryant was one of the people who lost their lives in the crash, alongside her father.
