#TwoBeesTV: Lil Rel Says he Feels Bad for Katt Williams

Lil Rel stopped by Two Bees TV ahead of the premiere of the second episode of his series, Rel, at the 2018 Urbanworld Film Festival. He was one of the victims of Katt Williams’ rant about undeserving comedians so of course that was a hot topic.

He discussed many things including, why he decided to cast social media comedian, Jess Hilarious, as his best friend on the show. But when asked about his thoughts in regards to what Katt said about him he admitted that he felt bad for him.

“There’s a reason why most of us haven’t given him jobs. He’s so talented, so funny, but I don’t know what he’s really angry about.” Rel continued, “The crazy thing is, maybe like five years ago he pulled me to the side and was like, ‘you going to be a star one day. Don’t let them burn you out'”

Eventually he went on to say that he still had respect for the legendary comedian, and that he was still a fan.

During the Q&A moderated by Blogxilla amid the screening, he explained what happened backstage at the Emmys when he crossed paths with Katt. Lil Rel said that when he heard Dave Chappelle showing him love, he just walked away. However, he was photographed on his knees and hugging Tiffany Haddish.
