Luda’s back!
During his Instagram Verzuz battle with Nelly, Ludacris previewed a Lil-Wayne assisted record “S.O.T.L. (Silence of the Lambs)” with production by Timbaland.
Fans got the official release at midnight on Friday.
Fans caught wind of specific lyrics in the song which caused a stir and created some controversy. The line in question is when he expressed his unconditional love for R. Kelly who is currently on trial (again) for sexual misconduct. “I love R. Kelly, but around my daughters, I’m not comfortable,” he states in the beginning of the song.
See below to some of the fans reactions when he was spittin those bars:
Following the backlash, the rapper turned actor clarified what he meant in an interview with Big Tigger: “Sometimes when you speak on records, you speaking like it’s me and you having a conversation as friends. But you just speaking, and just being honest,” he states.
Big Tigger debunked the lyrics when asked by Ludacris how’d he interpret the line. “You meant, I loved his music…but I’m a father of daughters, and you’re not gonna be around my daughters.’” Tigger said.
