Michael K. Williams Found Dead In New York Apartment

Michael K. Williams was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment, The Post reported.

Authorities suspect a possible overdose because drug paraphernalia was found.

The 54-year-old was “found in the living room of his Kent Avenue penthouse by his nephew,” the outlet reports.

The Flatbush native was best known for his role as Omar Little in The Wire and Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire.

He recently starred in Lovecraft Country, which was canceled right before receiving 18 Emmy nominations.

Michael K. Williams says he channeled his own trauma to portray Montrose Freeman. “Montrose was different. He didn’t have the freedom Omar had or the confidence. He comes from such a broken place. I just had to find my own pain and my own trauma, which was a very painful experience for me. All the generational pain that had been passed down through my own personal experiences, I had to dig deep down in that for Montrose,” Williams told People.

RIP.
