Unlike the NFL, the NBA is very accepting of Hip Hop. The league joined forces with Bleacher Report, Mitchell & Ness and a couple of Hip Hop hometown heroes to re-design limited edition jerseys.
The Diplomats remixed the New York Knicks jersey, incorporating their iconic Dipset logo. But this time the eagle has two basketballs between its claws. The jersey is “100% polyester with a mesh body, screen printed graphics on body, contrast color ribbing at the neck and armholes, a printed tackle twill back name, a screen printed back number and a special collaborative woven jocktag,” as per the product’s description.
The collection also includes a pullover fleece hoodie, t-shirt, and strap back hat. Each item will be paired perfectly with a fresh pair of butters.
Dipset weren’t the only rappers involved in this cool collaboration. School Boy Q, Big Sean, Wale, E-40, Master P, Future, and DJ Khaled all re-designed jerseys for their respective hometowns.
