Calboy Speaks Out About Getting Removed From Pop Smoke’s Debut Album

Pop Smoke’s debut album, Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon, was met with controversy before it was even released.

Thankfully the artwork was unveiled in advance because there was a strong push to get Virgil Abloh’s design changed to something more fitting to the late rapper’s brand and legacy.

Once the tracklist was unveiled, Pop’s core fanbase complained about the lack of features from Brooklyn Drill artists. But the star-studded collection added a sonic value that Pop’s camp says he envisioned before he passed.

Calboy revealed that he was featured on the “Diana” record with King Combs and you can even briefly hear his vocals. “On Wesley grave y’all bogus asf for taking me off pop smoke album …but then keep my fucking adlibs….two days before my boy passed away we was planning a vid wit me combs n him ..how y’all play it like tht ..ion respect that shit at all …Broken heartWilted flowerBlack heart …
@POPSMOKE10 out now !!”

But he quickly caught himself. “But my apologies if I made tht bout myself for a second .. was juss looking forward to more work out wit my boy @POPSMOKE10 ..but album fire erbody go run that shit all the way up to the stars for gang .. Rest easy my boy.”

Do you think Calboy would’ve added value to the track? Listen below:
