Suge Knight’s Murder Trial Has a Start Date

After countless days of delays, Suge Knight’s murder trial is finally going to begin soon.

Suge’s 15th defense lawyer dropped out off the case last month, leaving people to think that it will cause further delay. However, the New York Daily News reported that Sept. 24 has now been chosen as the “go date” for jury selection, and court-appointed lawyer Albert DeBlanc Jr. will lead his defense.

After the trial date was finally confirmed, LA Times report that Knight had a separate hearing for a criminal threats proceeding and the judge asked him who he thought would win the NBA Playoffs. “Houston,” he responded.

The former Death Row Records CEO is pleading not guilty of murder and attempted murder for swiping Terry Carter and Cle “Bone” Sloan with his truck in the parking lot of a Compton restaurant three years ago. The incident reportedly occurred following a dispute on the set of Straight Outta Compton. Carter died from the injuries.
