The-Dream and Sean Garrett went head-to-head Saturday night in an Instagram live songwriting battle. One of the highlights of the epic moment was Dream playing a never-before-heard version of JAY-Z’s “Holy Grail.”
The version that we all know features Justin Timberlake, but this recent debut has the Grammy-award winning songwriter taking over the intro, bridge, and chorus.
“JAY’s probably gonna kill me for playing this,” said The-Dream, who co-wrote and produced the record.
Shortly after he played the reference track, it became available on TIDAL.
