Zendaya Wins Critics Choice Award for Best Actress

It’s no secret that Zendaya has dominated awards season these past few years and stole the show with her sense of style. On Sunday, the Dune actress earned the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in a drama series for Euphoriaa show in which she plays the lead actress and executive produces alongside Drake.

The actress did not attend the awards ceremony so she took to Instagram to share her gratitude and appreciation. She wrote in the caption, “Woke up to some incredible news… thank you so much @criticschoice for this honor. I can’t stop smiling and can’t express how grateful I am,” with a black and white photo of herself wearing a suit on a bike with a suitcase in hand. The infamous suitcase that got her character, Rue, in trouble in the second season of Euphoria.

Zendaya plays a 17-year-old drug addict, Rue, in the critically-acclaimed coming-of-age drama, who struggles with her substance abuse and mental health.

The Spiderman: Homecoming and two-time Emmy Award-winning actress earned her first Golden Globe for Best Television Actress earlier in the week but was also absent from that ceremony due to prior work obligations. It’s been reported that she’s been filming Dune: Part Two.
