Suspects In Pop Smoke Murder Case Claims He Advised To Use “Flower Vase Not To Shoot

Pop Smoke was tragically murdered in a home invasion on February 19, 2020. Corey Walker 20, the one adult suspect who was charged with murder for the home-invasion robbery. Reports obtained by Rolling Stone, his defense lawyer, Christopher Darden, filed a motion to dismiss the murder and robbery charges brought upon his client. He claims Walker did not want to use a gun. They entered Pop Smoke’s home with the intention of stealing his diamond Rolex watch, money, and a gold chain that they saw on social media. While Pop Smoke was showering in his Hollywood Hills residence, the masked intruders confronted him.

“It is clear from the evidence that Walker did not enter the house, was not armed, and did not personally kill the victim. Walker allegedly insisted that “if it became necessary for the suspects to defend themselves, they should use a flower vase rather than shoot someone.”

Darden said his client “did not plan this crime” and “was careful to insist that his weapon” not be fired. Darden stated that Walker “assaulted” the gunman after learning that he shot Pop Smoke . “This was not the plan”. The plan was that nobody would be killed or injured,” the document read. Walker argument also stated that he gave one of the other suspects his gun before they broke into Pop Smoke’s home. “There is no evidence that the defendant had any prior criminal experience with his co-suspects or that he knew any one of them was particularly violent or inclined to shoot and kill the victim,” a court document that was obtained by The Shaderoom read.

December 3rd is the hearing on the new motion. It’s estimated that Walker’s 4-week trial will begin within 90 days of the aforementioned date.
