Prosecutors want a judge to require YNW Melly to submit a DNA test according to TMZ.
The request was made in an effort to make a connection to evidence found on a jacket during the investigation.
Complex reports that prosecutors want the rapper to “submit to the taking of oral swab by a qualified technician” because the alleged victims’ DNA from inside the vehicle was submitted for analysis and three other “potential contributors” were discovered.
It’s unclear if the judge will grant prosecutors request for YNW Melly to submit a DNA test.
The “Murder on My Mind” rapper has made an attempt last year to be released early, citing his COVID-19 diagnosis. His symptoms included trouble breathing, body aches, and chills.
“He still has headaches and body aches. Mr. Demons is 114 lbs. The jail is just ill prepared if his diagnosis takes a turn for the worse,” Cohen said in legal documents, which called for the emergency motion for his conditional release. “They have not given them masks, or cleaning supplies that would be beneficial regarding his recovery.”
