Slim 400 whose real name is Vincent Cohran was shot dead in Inglewood, California on Wednesday evening, TMZ report.Law enforcement has not released any details about the circumstances in which the rapper was killed, nor have they specified how many suspects were involved. The shooting came just hours after Slim 400 released a new music video for the song “Caviar Gold”.
Slim 400 was born in Germany but migrated to Los Angeles as a child and grew up in the Compton neighborhood. Pu$haz Ink, the music label widely known for making YG and DJ Mustard famous, noticed him and signed him.
Slim 400 had a close friendship with YG. He was best known for the track ‘Bruisin’ with YG and Sad Boy Loko.Back in the summer of 2019 Slim 400 was shot 9 times, he left the hospital 15 days later. Slim claims he was ambushed in the attack while visiting family in Compton. Following that incident, he said: “I just feel like when you meant to be here and God have a plan for you, it ain’t no stoppin’ it.”
“I hit the ground thinking it was over. My family came out, kept me alive, talking to me, dragging me in the house while they still shooting…. I just feel like I’m blessed just to be here ’cause I could have just died then and there.”He added
Tributes have been pouring in since the tragic news of Slim 400 death. Ty Dolla $ign paid his respects by posting a picture of himself with Slim and the caption: “Longlive$lim. Slim 400 died at the age of 33 years old, the same age Nipsey Hussle died in March 2019
