The 31-year-old rapper was arrested Friday at a Texaco gas station in Shreveport, Louisiana. According to TMZ reports, Dooley allegedly shot and killed a man around 1 a.m. local time on Friday, initially telling police that he shot the unidentified man multiple times in self-defense following an alleged struggle over his car.
The victim that was shot suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later died at Ochsner LSU Health hospital. Authorities from the Shreveport Police Department have also alleged that the car Chris was driving was stolen from Texas. The motive of the incident is still unclear and the footage that was obtained by police indicating that he was acting in self-defense is to be determined.
Since the release of his 2009 album, Unleashed, Hurricane Chris has relatively laid a low profile in the industry. In 2017, he released a mixtape, King Cane. Other than that he has offered his feature services with a number of artists including The Game, Boosie Badazz, Ty Dolla $ign, & Mike Jones.
