Jhené Aiko Will Host Grammys 2021 Ceremony Premiere

Jhené Aiko will be hosting at the Grammy Awards premiere ceremony this month.

Yesterday, the Recording Academy (Grammys) posted to their Twitter announcing Jhené Aiko has this year’s host.

In addition to blessing the Grammys as their host, Jhené is also nominated for three Grammys! This includes Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album for Chilombo, as well as Best R&B Performance for “Lightning & Thunder” featuring John Legend.

The show, which will be streamed live via Grammy.com, will feature performances by current Grammy nominees including Burna Boy, Rufus Wainwright, Terri Lyne Carrington + Social Science, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, and Poppy. Starting off the event will be a tribute performance; honoring the 50th anniversary of Marvin Gaye’s classic “Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology).”

During that tribute, an ensemble will feature performances from Afro-Peruvian Jazz Orchestra, PJ Morton, Gregory Porter, Grace Potter, Kamasi Washington, and more.

The 63rd annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live following the Premiere Ceremony on CBS at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET.
