Man Accused of Killing Chinx Reportedly in Talks for Plea Deal

One of the men accused of the murder of Queens rapper, Chinx Drugz, is in talks for a plea deal.

The New York Post reports that the suspect, Jamar Hill, showed up in court on Monday (July 16), where Queens prosecutor Brian Hughes said they are as yet progressing in the direction of a manner.

Hill, alongside Quincy Homere, are blamed for shooting and killing Chinx in 2015, hours after the rapper performed at the Red Wolf nightclub in Brooklyn. The men professedly took after Chinx as he cleared out the club, shooting at the Porsche Panamera 4 he was riding in. The rapper was shot 15 times, while his companion Antar Alziadi was shot twice in the back. Alziadi survived the shooting.

The suspects, who were at that point in prison for various situations when they were captured, now look up to 25 years in jail in the event that they are indicted kill. Hill is booked to show up in court again on Sept. 12.

Amid their first hearing with a judge prior this year, Hill and Homere were accused of second-degree kill and argued not guilty to the charges. “It gets increasingly hard every time just to truly gaze somebody in the eyes and not have the capacity to state anything,” Chinx’s widow, Janelli Caceres-Pickens said at the time. “It’s hard, it’s hard. A great deal of feelings go through you.”
