Yo Gotti, Skylar Diggins-Smith Calls for Justice in Near-Lynching Case of Activist Vauhxx Booker

Vauhxx Booker took to Facebook to share a horrifying attack against him on Fourth of July weekend by white supremacists. Now he has support by WNBA star Skylar Diggins-Smith and Yo Gotti.

The Roc Nation signees sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General William Barr urging for justice.

The letter reads, “A violent racist racist attack such as this, additionally, is a federal crime.” It continued, “demands your attention and your full efforts to guarantee that justice is done, by prosecuting the people who attacked Vauhxx Booker for their violent hate crime.”

This case hits home for Skylar who is an Indiana native. Both her and Gotti added some legal muscle by enlisting attorney Joe Tacopina to help with the case.

Monroe County prosecutors charged two men with criminal confinement, intimidation, and battery of Vauhxx. But as Skylar Diggins and Yo Gotti noted in their letter, the men weren’t charged with a hate crime.

In one of the videos a man in a red shirt is pinning Booker down, meanwhile another shirtless man is holding down his friend. The person recording attempted to passively intervene but the shirtless man yelled “You invaded us” and calls another man a “stupid (expletive) liberal (expletive).”

In the Facebook post, Booker claimed one of the men instructed the other to “get a noose” and another one yelled “white power.”
