It’s so cringy to witness 50 Cent and his mini-me, Marquise, trade below the belt blows on social media. They had a relationship once upon a time and we’ve all wondered what could’ve possibly happened that turned them into archnemesis.

Fifty recently released a book Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter, and joined Van Lathan for an interview on XXL’s Instagram live on Tuesday evening.

The mogul discussed his estranged relationship with his son and said it’s a “sad, sad situation.”

“When you pray for success, you don’t necessarily pray for the things that come with it. It’s no such thing as success without jealousy without envy or entitlement.” 50 went on to say that he dished out over $1 million in child support and his son “had everything I didn’t have.”

Lathan asked if the Power creator loved his son and he responded he “used to.” 50 continued, “I didn’t think that success would cost me my firstborn but it’s the situation it is. Like, my grandfather used to say, ‘If it rattles like a snake and slithers like a snake, is it a snake or do you need to be bit?'”

They had a brief back and forth on Instagram recently after 50 Cent said he’d put disgraced rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine, over Marquise. “Nah, I ain’t heard from 6ix9ine. He’s his mother’s child now. He told on everybody,” 50 said during an IG Live stream. “He better than Marquise, though. I’ll take him before I take my actual biological son. Fuck that n***a.” Marquise caught wind of the comment and like father like son, he hopped on IG and slammed 50 for “claiming a rat.”
