Some old photos of Sen. Kamala Harris and Montell Williams made its rounds on the Internet once again.
But this “tea” is more like iced tea because the talk show host already addressed their 2001 relationship. “[Harris] and I briefly dated about 20 years ago when we were both single,” he tweeted last year.
Williams continued, “So what? I have great respect for Sen. Harris. I have to wonder if the same stories about her dating history would have been written if she were a male candidate?”
The picture in question was taken at the May 2001 Race to Erase Multiple Sclerosis gala in California. At the time, Kamala Harris was working at the Office of the City Attorney of San Francisco.
The Vice President is got married to Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff in 2014.
