JAY-Z’s inaugural Shawn Carter Foundation Gala was a success.
Big names like Tyler Perry, Fat Joe, Meek Mill, and more was at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida for the event.
Buzz was built around the event ever since Meek and Swizz Beatz revealed that Hov gifted Daytona Rolex watches and bottle of Ace of Spade Champagne as VIP passes on Instagram.
Throughout the weekend the Brooklyn native was able to raise $6 million towards his charity.
Alicia Keys gave a performance which the hotel describes as an intimate one-time-only performance to benefit The Shawn Carter Foundation.”

Additionally, JAY-Z hosted a blackjack tournament with a $100,000 buy-in for all the players. The winner, Marcelo Claure, reportedly took home a whopping $500,000 jackpot, meanwhile the rest went to charity. He edged out Jigga and Yo Gotti.
Proceeds from the luxurious night went to the Shawn Carter Foundation. The charity was founded in 2003 by Hov and his mother, Gloria Carter, to provide low-income students with scholarships, study abroad opportunities, college workshops, and more.
