Nas wound up in a new area earlier this year when Kanye West welcomed him to Jackson, Wyoming to chip away at his latest album, Nasir. Be that as it may, fortunately, everything worked out.

Despite the fact that the album was released back in June, Nas recently stopped by by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss the experience.

“The people are great. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. It was the last place I thought that I would record an album but we were there and nobody bothered us and it was a good time,” he said. “Kanye is the kind of guy who needed to be away from everything when he’s recording. So, he said it to me. I was like ‘I don’t know. I’ve never been there.’ But I went there and it was a great experience.”

Nasir likewise incorporates the commitments of Sean Solymar, a former wedding DJ who produced the album. “I went back and forth with him,” Solymar told Complex earlier this year. “He was like, ‘Yo, do you think this is tight?’ And I looked at him and was like, ‘You’re Nas, bro. You can’t doubt yourself like this. This is exactly what people have been waiting for.'”

This isn’t the Queens rapper’s first rodeo with Colbert. A while ago when the TV host was depicting a character on The Colbert Report, he made a trip to discuss his past albums, 2008’s, Untitled, and 2012’s, Life is Good. The duo reunited six years later to discuss the legendary emcee’s latest discharge.

“It’s just time. You just start to feel it. You start to miss it,” he said of returning to the hip-hop game.

He also performed “Adam and Eve” on the late-night television show. Check it out below:
