Tory Lanez jokingly called out Akon for giving Tekashi 6ix9ine clearance to sample “Locked Up,” although Lanez is one of the sample kings of the new millennium. “So what y’all telling me is …. Akon gave the #LockedUpRemix/ SAMPLE to someone else !?!?? And not me ?!????”

That tweet struck Spectacular’s, nerve because he stepped into The Shade Room and claimed the Toronto “stole” his Pretty Ricky samples. “You should have just stole it like Grind on Me and Your Body. Why stop now ….. Just keeping it two Virgils,” Spec commented.

The Chixtape singer immediately responded and let it be known that his paperwork is in order. “STOLE WHAT ??!?” Tory wrote on his Instagram story. “Actually I BOUGHT the rights from whoever signed u and [published] your music …. But I guess you weren’t apart of that conversation.”

The “Run Off” rapper added, “Go stare in someone eyes and rub on someone thighs and leave me outta this one …. Goodnight my Black brother.”

Although Spec instigated with Tory without being provoked, he clearly wasn’t feeling his clap back and came for his hairline. “Ever since you got that new hairline, you been acting different. Stop with the [cap]. Last time I checked, I owned my own masters. What type of bootleg business you running. You acting like Virgil not keeping it 2 Virgils.”

It’s safe to assume Spectacular really liked that joke, but Tory re-entered The Shade Room with receipts that he did clear the sample.

Apparently, Spec was never compensated for the “Your Body” sample and Sony/ATV and writers were paid. Pleasure P was also present during the recording of the Chixtape 5 cut, “Yessir,” and it turns out Pleasure, Slick’em, and Baby Blue were set to be featured on the song.

The fifth installment of Tory Lanez’s Chixtape 5 series sampled the likes of T-Pain, Ashanti, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Mario, Snoop Dogg, and more. Many of the legends thanked Tory for the re-introduction to a younger audience. But Spec wasn’t satisfied with that.

He probably wanted PC from an album that Tory didn’t even profit from. Either way. it was a good collection and we’re looking forward to listen to his independent projects.
