If you were the CEO of YouTube, would you reinstate Donald Trump’s account?

Donald Trump‘s YouTube account was suspended in response to the Capitol Hill riots that was incited after he made false claims of voter fraud.

YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki announced that the suspension would be lifted after the online video company determined that “the risk of violence has decreased.”

Wojcicki added, “Where we stand today, it’s hard for me to say when that’s going to be, but it’s pretty clear that right now where we stand that there still is that elevated risk of violence.”

According to Wojciki, multiple “signals” will be monitored to see if the threat actually decreased with guidance from U.S. law enforcement.

Donald Trump’s YouTube will be back but he’s still banned on other social platforms like Instagram and Facebook for now. The social networks’ Oversight Board will “make the final call on some of the most difficult content decisions Facebook makes,” Nick Clegg, Facebook’s VP of global affairs and communications, wrote in a blog post on Thursday.

Twitter announced that Trump was permanently banned from its platform. Do you think it’s a good idea for social platforms to welcome Donald Trump?

The former President recently teased the possibility of a third Presidential election in 2024. “Who knows, I may even decide to beat them for a third time,” Trump said at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando.
