It’s officially Chixtape season and Tory Lanez is getting his fans ready for the vibes.
The Toronto rapper took to Instagram yesterday to announce the mixtape’s official release date: November 15th Chixtape 5 will finally see the light of day.
He also shared the cover art which featured Ashanti, laying down on a bed with a sidekick. For the young folks reading this, a side kick isn’t someone who helps another person fight crime. It was a must-have cell phone that was a staple in all of our childhoods.

The Chixtape series is a cultivation of songs paying homage to popular R&B classics from the 90’s and 00s era by Grammy Award-nominated recording artist Tory Lanez. The first mixtape, released in 2011 proved to quickly become a fan favorite project paving the way for three more installments. Chixtape 2 dropped in March of 2014 followed by Chixtape 3 in December 2015, but Chixtape 4 wasn’t released until two years later in January 2017.
Two more years later, Chixtape 5 is finally ready to go. Are y’all ready?
